William Wisting has encountered grotesque murders before.

Nonetheless, he finds the savagely beaten corpse in a holiday cottage on the Vestfold coast particularly disturbing.

Then the body is stolen.

His daughter Line, finally leaving a dangerous relationship, decides to stay in one of the cottages near the area. It isn’t long before she finds another body.
