New Books in April 2025
April is here, sunshine is back, and there is a whole raft of new releases to celebrate. Spring's events at the shop start off with Lanre Bakare (We Were There), Sean Hewitt (Open, Heaven) and Niamh Ni Mhaoileoin (Ordinary Saints). Staff highlights include: On the Calculation of Volume I and II, a firm favourite of Euan's; Selena is looking forward to reading The Palace on the Higher Hill by Karim Kattan and America, America by Greg Grandin; Jenna is a huge advocate of Days of Light by Megan Hunter; and Marc is happy to see Becca Rothfeld's All Things Are Too Small arrive in paperback and for new poetry - especially Harmony Holiday's MAAFA and a new translation of The Odyssey.
