Join us in welcoming V.E. Schwab to Edinburgh's Traverse Theatre for an event to celebrate the launch of Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil.
From the No. 1 Sunday Times and New York Times bestselling author of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue comes a new, genre-defying, unforgettable novel to sink your teeth into!
This event will take place at the Traverse Theatre in central Edinburgh and we are planning for the doors to open at 7pm ahead of the 7.30pm event start time. The event runtime is 90mins, including audience Q&A.
V.E. Schwab will not be signing books after the event, all copies will be pre-signed ahead of the event. There will be no personalised signed copies.
Book & In-person Audience:
Please note that books ordered as part of the 'Book & In-person Audience' option will be pre-signed and available to collect on the night of the event and will be stamped with a special 'June 2025 tour' embosser. If you would prefer to collect an unstamped copy of the book from the shop between publication date (Thursday 10th June) and the event date (Monday 30th June), please send us a message via our contact form. Please note that books collected before the event cannot be stamped on the night.
Book & Livestream:
Books ordered as part of the 'Book & Livestream' option will be pre-signed and posted out to you following the event, after they've been stamped with a special 'June 2025 tour' embosser. If you would prefer for an unstamped copy of the book to be posted out to you between publication date (Thursday 10th June) and the event date (Monday 30th June), please send us a message via our contact form. Our Building
From the entrance on Cambridge Street, there is level access to our Box Office area, and lift access to the Bar and theatre spaces downstairs. If you require lift access to our theatre spaces, please notify our Sales and Welcome team when making your booking on 0131 228 1404 or [email protected]. On arrival you can use the lift down to the Bar where you can enjoy a pre-theatre drink. On hearing the ‘house open’ tannoy announcement please make your way back to the lift where you will be met by the Duty Manager who will accompany you down to the theatre levels.
We have an accessible toilet in out bar area and gender neutral toilets. Everyone is free to use the toilet that best suits their gender identity.
Guide dogs and hearing dogs are always welcome.
Please be aware that, in the event of an emergency evacuation, there may be as many as five flights of stairs (56 steps) to ascend in order to reach ground level. In such a scenario, we have two evacuation chairs available to assist patrons with accessibility needs in exiting the building.
Wheelchair Users
There are wheelchair spaces available in both theatre spaces - please reserve with our Sales & Welcome Team when making your booking so we can offer you the best service for your needs. Level access for Traverse 2 involves a long walk, but we have two wheelchairs available for visitors' ease of use.
