Jenni Fagan – A Swan's Neck on the Butcher's Block at The Portobello Bookshop

Please note that this event has been rescheduled for Thursday 3rd October, when we will celebrate National Poetry Day with Jenni Fagan for the launch of A Swan's Neck on the Butcher's Block.

We're excited that Jenni Fagan is coming back to the bookshop to celebrate the launch of her new poetry collection, A Swan's Neck on the Butcher's Block. It's always a pleasure to host an event with Jenni and we can't wait to hear her read from the collection and discuss it with her editor, Edward Crossan.

This event will take place in the bookshop with an in-person audience. There will be a signing after the event.

Vouchers can be redeemed on the night of the event against a single copy of A Swan's Neck on the Butcher's Block – we will have a list of attendees with vouchers to be redeemed. Please note that only one voucher can be redeemed per book.

About A Swan's Neck on the Butcher's Block:

Visceral, haunting and full of passion, verve and wit, this new collection from one of Scotland’s most original voices examines and explores the soul of humanity. Written with the same anarchic spirit of the Beat generation, the poems here respond to themes of identity, place, love and the unloved. A Swan’s Neck on the Butcher’s Block is an achingly honest, vivid collection that dares to challenge ideas of what it is to live and to be alive.

Please note: Tickets for our events are non-refundable. Professional photography and videography may take place during this event. Thank you for your understanding.
