On:16th September 2024, 7:30pm - 8:45pm
It's an honour to be hosting an event with the one and only Jacqueline Wilson on the evening of Monday 16th September, when she'll join us at the Assembly Rooms on George Street for an evening of conversation about her latest novel, Think Again. She'll be discussing the book with Melanie Ramdarshan Bold, Professor of Youth Literature and Culture at the University of Glasgow.
An adult novel from the iconic and beloved children's author is something absolutely worth celebrating and in Think Again, Wilson revisits Ellie, Magda and Nadine from the Girls series, now aged 40. If they think life's done surprising them – they'll have to think again...
Doors due to open at 6.45pm. Books for Book & Ticket options will be available to collect at the venue on the night.
This event will take place at the Assembly Rooms on George Street. There will not be a book signing on the night.
About Think Again:
Being an adult isn’t quite what Ellie Allard dreamed it would be when she was fourteen years old.
Though she’s got her beautiful daughter Lottie, life-long best friends in Magda and Nadine and her trusty cat Stella, her love life is non-existent and she feels like she’s been living on auto-pilot, just grateful to be able to afford the mortgage on her poky little flat.
But this year on her birthday, the universe seems to decide it’s time to for all that to change – whether Ellie wants it to or not.
As she navigates new, exciting and often choppy waters, she’s about to discover that life will never stop surprising you – if only you let it.
Please note: Tickets for our events are non-refundable. Professional photography and videography may take place during this event. Thank you for your understanding.
