Reading and Drawing with Eilidh Muldoon (Children's Event)

We are delighted to celebrate Independent Bookshop Week 2022 with a special reading and live drawing workshop with author and illustrator Eilidh Muldoon!

Eilidh has previously illustrated our shop window and created the beautiful mural in our children's section, so we can't wait to welcome her back for what's set to be a very fun Monday session of colouring in, reading and animal impressions!

This event is aimed at children aged 2-5 and attendees must be accompanied by one parent or guardian maximum. All materials required for the workshop will be provided as part of the booking. We expect this event to last around 30 minutes in total.

We are planning for the event to take place in the bookshop in our children’s section. On the morning of the event, our team will be wearing masks and we encourage accompanying adults to do the same, where possible.

Please note that £3 vouchers are only redeemable in the bookshop on the day of the event – we'll have a list of attendee vouchers to be redeemed.

Eilidh Muldoon lives in a wee village by the sea, about an hour outside Edinburgh. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 2013 with an MFA in Illustration. She now teaches part time at the college and work freelance from her home studio. Eilidh's work is often very detailed and intricate, a mixture of hand-drawing and printmaking methods. The beautiful landscapes and iconic buildings of the cities, towns and islands around Scotland inspire much of her work.  She also illustrates for books and is fascinated by the power of images to communicate stories to people of all ages.
