Book Group: Wintering by Katherine May at The Portobello Bookshop

In a choice that couldn’t be more perfect for this time of year, we're reading Wintering by Katherine May. This beautiful part memoir, part travelogue explores the power of rest and retreat in difficult times. Wintering looks at the fallow periods in life - the times of loss, illness, rejection - and argues that nature can show us the way through them. The author will be joining us for a reading and Q&A after the discussion.

The discussion will be taking place online over Zoom, to ensure all social distancing guidelines are met, and also to allow Katherine to join us all the way from Whitstable. Everyone who purchases a ticket will have access to the Zoom discussion with Katherine May as well as a copy of the book. Limited places are available.

Please note this is a special event book group, and that our regular (and free) book group, which began shortly before lockdown, will resume in future.
