Dr Rajesh Kumar is currently working as Assistant Professor of Zoology in Department of Biosciences, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh (India). He has more than 08 years of experience in teaching and research. His thrust areas of research are Entomology and Environmental Science. During PhD, he was awarded JRF by UGC-SAP under the meritorious students in science for two years. He was awarded Major Research Project by HIMCOSTE, Shimla (India) on Honeybees and their social impact during findings of which were recognized at national and international level. He has expertise in beekeeping techniques with the knowledge of sampling and maintaining culture for various insects & animals like Earthworms, Honey bees, Lucilia cuprina flies etc. He has also completed one self-sustaining project entitled "Establishment of Vermicompost Unit under Clean Campus Green Campus". Currently, he is handling 02 incubator projects under HP-STARTUP scheme and 01 major project sponsored by DEST, Govt of HP, INDIA. There are about 25 research papers, 03 book, 05 book chapter, 07 papers in proceedings, 55 abstracts, 09 Awards, 12 seminars/conferences, participation in more than 50 national/international conferences in his credit. He has guided 01 PhD, 5 MSc students for their dissertation and currently, guiding 02 PhD and 01 MPhil candidate. He is also a member of various scientific agencies and reviewer of peer reviewed journals.
Professor Agrawal is former Vice Chancellor of Jiwaji University, Gwalior (India). He is former Professor of Zoology in School of Studies in Zoology, Jiwaji University for more than 35 years. During his tenure, he served at many prestigious positions like Director of Indira Gandhi Academy of Environmental Education, Research & Ecoplanning, Head of the Department; Chairman, Board of Studies in Zoology; Chairman, Animal Ethics Committee; Dean Faculty of Life Sciences and Member of Executive Council.
Professor O P Agrawal did his Ph.D. from Vikram University, Ujjain; He is recipient of CSIR, UGC & ICMR research fellowships; He joined Zoology department, Jiwaji University, Gwalior as Lecturer in 1980 became Reader in 1988, Professor in 1998 and Vice Chancellor in 2006. He has visited Germany for Post-doctoral research during 1983-85 & 1993-94; other countries France (3), Italy, Czechoslovakia, Austria & UK for academic purposes. Dr Agrawal was awarded prestigious DAAD (Germany); GTZ (Germany) Equipment & Material Grant; major & minor research projects funded by UGC, MP-CST, Ministry of Agriculture & Cooperation; DRDE. He has supervised 27 Ph.D. & 26 M.Phil. students for their research works; attended more than 150 national & international conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops, chaired technical sessions, delivered keynote & plenary lectures; received several awards for research paper & poster presentations. The Primary area of research Entomology (Insect Physiology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology). He has worked extensively on environmental issues including environmental conservation & sustainable development; developed expertise in waste management technology; established a novel model Vermicomposting Center for promotion of environment-friendly management of organic waste; developed simple vermicomposting method of household, poultry and animal house waste management; also working on nature friendly technologies like beekeeping, Spirulina farming, HOME biogas systems. He is currently involved in promotion and consultancy services for solid waste management, superfoods, honey and Spirulina.
Dr. Younis Ahmad Hajam holds a doctorate in Zoology from Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidayalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. Currently, he is working as assistant Professor and Head Department of Zoology, Career Point University, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, India. He also served as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at Department of Zoology, Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. Dr. Younis Ahmad has published 20 research papers in leading national and international journals (such as Life Sciences, Impact factor 3.4) and Toxicology Reports, seven book chapters and two national proceeding. Dr. Younis Ahmad has received national award for his contributions in biological science. Dr. Younis Ahmad’s current research focus is therapeutic management for diabetes/Polycystic Ovarian Cancer, melatonin physiology, antioxidants and natural therapies for other metabolic and endocrine disorders. He is currently guiding 05 M.Sc. and 04 PhD students and handling one major research project (Co-PI), three projects under HP Chief Minister Start up scheme. Dr. Younis Ahmad has presented his research work in more than 35 national and international conferences; he has attended more than 30 national and international conferences, and 5 workshops. He organized various conferences, seminar, workshops and webinar of national and international level. He has also delivered invited lecture in international conference. Dr. Younis Ahmad is editorial member of various international journals and is also member of Asian Council of Science editors.
