Professor Yamin Hu is one of the leading Chinese scholars in the areas of Marxist literary theory studies, literary criticism, comparative literature studies and narratology studies. She is also one of the rare female pioneers who strived her way and had achieved great accomplishment and reputations as early as in the 1990s’ male-dominant Chinese academia. She has hosted 8 major funding programs on national level, and her publications includes more than 12 monographs, textbooks and translations, and more than 100 academic articles. The textbooks written by her on narrative theories and comparative literature have been translated into Vietnamese and have been broadcasted to Taiwan as academic bestsellers. Professor Yamin Hu has edited the book Keywords in Western Literary Criticism and Contemporary China(Vol.1&2) which were published by Routledge Press in 2020.
