Jean d'Aspremont is Professor of Public International Law at the University of Manchester where he co-directs the Manchester International Law Centre (MILC) with Professor Iain Scobbie. He is also Professor of International Legal Theory at Universiteit van Amsterdam. D'Aspremont acted as counsel in proceedings before the International Court of Justice and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the European Journal of International Law. He is series editor of the Melland Schill Studies in International Law and of the Elgar International Law Series. Tarcisio Gazzini is senior researcher at the University of Lausanne, where he is responsible for the project 'Foreign Investment in Africa: Gaining Development Momentum', and visiting professor at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. He has previously taught at Università degli Studi di Padova, the University of Glasgow and Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. He is a member of the editorial boards of the Leiden Journal of International Law and the book series International Investment Law. André Nollkaemper is Professor of Public International Law and Director of the Amsterdam Center for International Law at the Faculty of Law of Universiteit van Amsterdam. He is also external Legal Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, President of the European Society of International Law and Member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. His practical experience includes cases before the European Court on Human Rights, the Special Court for Sierra Leone, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, and the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. Wouter Werner is Professor of Public International Law and co-director of the Centre for the Politics of International Law at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. He is also chair of the Advisory Commission on Issues of Public International Law, and director of the Graduate School of Vrije Universiteit law Faculty. In his recent work Werner has focused on documentary film and international criminal law, deference across international courts and tribunals, the role of experts in international law, conceptions of humanity and world community across international law.
