Wolfgang Frindte, Prof. i. R. Dr. phil. habil., Diplompsychologe (Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena 1974), 1981 Promotion und 1986 Habilitation. Von 2008 bis 2017 Leiter der Abteilung Kommunikationspsychologie am Institut für Kommunikationswissenschaft an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. 1998–2005 Gastprofessur für Kommunikations- und Sozialpsychologie an der Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck. Februar bis April 2004 Fellow am Bucerius Institut der Universität Haifa (Israel). Forschungsschwerpunkte: Terrorismusforschung, Fremdenfeindlichkeit, Antisemitismus, Rechtsextremismus, Medien und Gewalt.
