[to be edited] Professor Jerzy Klijanienko, born 1960, received his medical degree (MD) from the Medical University in Wroclaw, Poland in 1984 and a specialization in surgical pathology at the University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris VI, Paris, France in 1987. In 2001, he completed his qualification in Clinical Oncology. He was resident in Institut Gustave-Roussy, Villejuif 1985-1990. As a visiting pathologist, Dr. Klijanienko worked at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA and at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA. From 1991-1992, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas, Anderson Cancer Center. Since 1992, Dr. Klijanienko works, as a senior consultant, in the Department of Clinical Cytopathology and Pathology, Institut Curie, Paris, France. In 2010 he obtained PhD degree, in 2012 a title of Habilitated Doctor and in 2019 was nominated Full Professor of Medical Sciences by President of Poland. Among others, he is a member of the European Society of Pathology and the International Academy of Cytology. He has authored 3 pathology books, near 30 chapters and more than 250 scientific publications, mainly concerning cytopathology. He was a president of 43rd European Congress of Cytology 2021 in Wroclaw and a president of European Federation of Cytology Societies 2019-2021.

Dr Olivier Choussy, born 1971, graduated ENT MD from the Medical University of ROUEN, FRANCE in 2000. 1996-2000 he was Resident in Rouen university hospital. In 2001, he completed his qualification in ENT oncology in Leuven catholic university at Mont-Godinne Hospital. He is PhD since 2012.Dr Choussy worked at Rouen university hospital until 2016. After a short experience in the Mathilde Clinic in Rouen, he takes the head of ENT department at the Curie institute. Since 2020 he is the head of the institute Curie surgical department.

He’s specialized in larynx cancer, external and endoscopic partiel laryngeal surgeries and vocal rehabililtation after total laryngectomies

He's a member of several French societies (société française d’ORL, société française de chirurgie cervico-faciale) and french clinical groups (GETTEC, GORTEC).

Publications : 75 publications (63 in english), 10 books chapters (rapports de la société française d’ORL, educational encyclopedy).

Professor Wojciech Golusiński 

Chair of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery of the Poznań University of Medical Sciences at the Greater Poland Cancer Centre. Past President of the European Head and Neck Society (term 2023-27).

For many years now he has been the most recognizable Polish ENT surgeon dealing with head and neck cancer treatment in Europe. He is the initiator and founder of the Polish Head and Neck Society - an interdisciplinary scientific society. For the past 4 years he has been President of the European Head and Neck Society - the largest European scientific society (over 2900 members), bringing together representatives of all specialties that carry out diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with head and neck cancer. Now he is still on the EHNS Board as the past president. Co-author of European recommendations on diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancer, prepared by members of three societies: EHNS, ESTRO and ESMO. Author of over 300 papers, reports and lectures published in Polish and foreign journals. They focus primarily on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of head and neck cancer. His special interests are expressed in publications on the role of HPV virus in cancers of the middle pharynx as well as genetic and molecular studies evaluating the biology of head and neck cancer. His other research activities include head and neck surgery with special emphasis on reconstructive capabilities after extensive surgery, endoscopic surgery and robotic surgery. Prof. Wojciech Golusiński is the initiator, author and organizer of the National Head and Neck Cancer Prevention Program. In 2016, the Polish Ministry of Health appointed him as an expert in head and neck cancers.
