Wilhelm Schwieger Author

Martin Hartmann is Professor of Catalysis at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He was Professor of Advanced Materials Science at University of Augsburg from 2005 to 2009 before taking up his present appointment at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. Professor Hartmann has authored over 250 scientific publications and holds several patents in zeolite technology. Currently, he is president of the International Zeolite Association and on the scientific advisory board of DGMK, the German scientific association for oil, coal and gas.

Alexandra Inayat studied chemistry at Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and received a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg. After two years post-doc at the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence at the University of York, she returned to FAU where she is now research group leader for green materials and catalysis with one focus on the eco-friendly preparation and application of zeolites, mixed oxides, mesoporous silica.

Wilhelm Schwieger retired as a Professor of Technical Chemistry at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in April 2019. He has obtained his academic degrees from Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). After receiving a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1979, he overtook a leading position in the industry, in the Chemie Kombinat Bitterfeld, former East Germany, as the head of the `Molecular sieve Group´ Professor Schwieger has authored over 240 scientific publications and holds over 100 patents in zeolite technology. In 2019, he got the IZA Award of the International Zeolite Association and acts as their Ambassador.
