Zong Tian is Associate Editor of Elsevier’s journal “Case Studies on Transport Policy, and WCTRS’s Scientific Committee Member and Topic Area Manager of the “Traffic Management, Operations Safety Special Interest Group. He is author of more than 80 journal articles in traffic signal control and co-author of “Global Practices on Road Traffic Signal Control (Elsevier, 2019). Dr. Wanjing Ma is currently a professor of College of Transportation Engineering at Tongji University, China. He was a visiting scholar of The University of Illinois at Urbana and Champaign, The University of Arizona, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on traffic design and control, connected vehicles, and shared mobility. On these topics, he has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is an active member of professional societies such as the Transportation Research Board (TRB) and World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS). He is on the editorial advisory board of Transportation Research Part C and Associate Editor of Transportmetrica B: Transport Dynamics. Dr. Zong Tian is currently a professor and director of the Center for Advanced Transportation Education and Research (CATER) at the University of Nevada, Reno, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Texas A&M University. His professional career includes positions at the Texas Transportation Institute between 2000 and 2004, and Kittelson & Associates, Inc. between 1995 and 1999. Dr. Tian is active in various professional organizations. He was a member of two major TRB committees: the Traffic Signal Systems Committee and the Highway Capacity and Quality of Service Committee. He is currently the Topic Area Manager (TAM) for Area C of the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS), overseeing four Special Interest Groups in the area of transportation systems, operations, and safety. He is an associate editor of the journal of Case Studies on Transport Policy. His specialty is in traffic signal systems and operations, highway capacity, and integrated freeway and arterial operations.
