Victor Lincoln Albjerg Author

Victor Lincoln Albjerg was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, in 1892 but spent more than half of his life in Indiana, where he published all of his books. After serving in the U.S. Navy in World War I, Albjerg studied at Hamline University, received his A.B. degree in 1918 from the University of Minnesota, and earned the degrees of A.M. in 1924 and Ph.D. in 1926 from the University of Wisconsin. He was married to Esther Marguerite Hall, and they had one daughter, Patricia Parks.

Albjerg joined the Purdue University faculty in 1926 and continued there until his retirement in 1962. Throughout his career, he served as a visiting professor at George Peabody College for Teachers as well as Norbert College. Albjerg died in Lafayette, Indiana, in 1973.
