Dr. Anasua GuhaRay is an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, India. She is also cross-appointed faculty at Hiroshima University in Japan. She attained her PhD in geotechnical engineering from IIT Kharagpur, India in 2014. Dr. GuhaRay’s main area of expertise is on ground improvement with green materials like waste materials and agricultural waste. Dr. Toshiro Hata is a full professor in the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering at Hiroshima University, Japan. He attained his PhD in Civil Engineering from Gifu University, Japan in 2005. He commenced his academic career in 2006 taking up an associate professor position at Nagano National College of Technology until 2011. He then moved to Toyama Prefectural University in 2012 and became a full professor in 2016. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, UK; Arizona State University, USA and at Grenoble University in France. Dr. Hata’s main area of expertise is on the enhancement of soil strength based on microbial functions. Dr. Nagesh R. Iyer is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering and is currently Dean of (Infrastructure, Planning and Support) and Visiting Professor, at the Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad. He was formerly Director of CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre and Coordinating Director of CSIR Madras Complex. Concurrently he held the posts of Acting Director and Distinguished Emeritus Professor at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). He has over 44 years of experience in the computer-aided analysis and design of complex and large structures which include infrastructural facilities. Dr. Pijush Samui is a Professor, in the Department of Civil Engineering, at NIT Patna, India, and Guest Professor at University of Science and Technology Beijing. He received his PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in 2008. His research interests include geohazards; earthquake geotechnical engineering; concrete technology, pile foundation and slope stability and application of AI in civil engineering. He has published more than 21 books, 32 book chapters and over 200 research papers in high impact factor journals as well as 30 conference proceedings. Dr. Sanjay Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, at NIT Patna, India. He received his PhD is structural engineering from the same institute in 2019. Dr. Sanjay has more than seventeen years of teaching experience and eight years of research experience. His main areas of research focus on innovations in materials and design for civil engineering structures.
