Johnnie Quarrell is the author of several plays including The Shelter and Smith, both of which were finalists for the Verity Bargate Award, in 1983 and 1986 respectively. Tony Grounds, (b. London, 1957) is a writer of television scripts. He has written for EastEnders and The Bill, while his 2004 TV film When I'm 64 for BBC2 won the Prix Europa Award for best drama on any channel across Europe.
