Tony Grounds Author

David Spencer's works have premiered at the Royal Court, National Theatre, and Soho Theatre. He has won a number of awards, including the Verity Bargate Award, the Alfred Doblin residency, and a residency in Schloss Wiepersdorf. His best-known works include: Releevo, Killing the Cat, Hurricane Roses, Red Stars, and Raven. Johnnie Quarrell is the author of several plays including The Shelter and Smith, both of which were finalists for the Verity Bargate Award, in 1983 and 1986 respectively. Tony Grounds, (b. London, 1957) is a writer of television scripts. He has written for EastEnders and The Bill, while his 2004 TV film When I'm 64 for BBC2 won the Prix Europa Award for best drama on any channel across Europe. He began his career writing for the stage and his Made in Spain won the Verity Bargate award in 1986. It is published in Verity Bargate Award Winners 86.
