Tommaso De Robertis (University of Pennsylvania) is a scholar of Renaissance philosophy, with a special interest in the reception of Aristotle’s oeuvre. Together with Valérie Cordonier, he has recently authored a book-length study with edition and English translation of Javelli’s epitome of Aristotle’s Liber de bona fortuna (Brill, 2021).
Luca Burzelli (KU Leuven) is a scholar of medieval and Renaissance philosophy. He works on the history of Aristotelianism, focusing in particular on the reception of Aristotle’s natural philosophy from the thirteenth to the sixteenth century. He published extensively on Pietro Pomponazzi’s theory of the elements. Recently, he contributed two monographs on the cardinal and philosopher Gasparo Contarini (Scritti teologici, Torino 2022; La natura e Aristotele insegnano.
