Toby C. Wilkinson is currently a TÜBITAK postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Archaeology, Istanbul University, Turkey (2013-2014). He studied anthropology and archaeology at the University of Oxford, University College London and the Department of Archaeology, University of Sheffield. He has also worked for the Pitt Rivers Museum and Dept. of Continuing Education in Oxford and has held research scholarships from the British Institute at Ankara (BIAA) and Koç University’s Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (RCAC). Susan Sherratt is Reader in Mediterranean Archaeology at the University of Sheffield. Her research interests are in the Bronze and Early Iron Ages of the Aegean, Cyprus and the wider eastern Mediterranean, particularly in all aspects of trade and interaction within and beyond these regions and in exploring the ways in which the Homeric epics and the archaeological record can most usefully be combined. John Bennet is Director of the British School at Athens (2015-22) and Professor of Aegean Archaeology at the University of Sheffield, having previously taught in Madison, Wisconsin and Oxford. His research interests include the integration of archaeological and textual data, particularly in relation to the Aegean Bronze Age. He has co-edited five books on various archaeological topics.
