The late Travis Hudson was Curator of Anthropology at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History (1973-1985). A specialist on the Chumash people of California, he wrote numerous books, articles, and reports on the subject, as well as contributing papers on sailing technology, rock art, archaeoastronomy, and material culture.
