Terje Oestigaard is Research Fellow with the Nordic Africa Institute, Uppsala, Sweden. He was previously Research Fellow at the Centre for Development Studies, University of Bergen, and the Centre for Advanced Studies, University of Oslo. He is co-editor (with Terje Tvedt) of A History of Water, Series I, Volume 3 : The World of Water and of A History of Water Series II, Volume 1: Ideas of Water from Ancient Societies to the Modern World.
