Susanne Buckley-Zistel is Professor for Peace and Conflicts Studies at the Center for Conflict Studies, University of Marburg. She holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and has held positions at King's College, London, the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt and the Free University Berlin. Her research focuses on issues pertaining to peacebuilding, transitional justice, gender and post-structural theory. Stefanie Schafer is a research fellow at the Irmgard Coninx Foundation and is affiliated with the Graduate School of East Asian Studies, Freie Universitat Berlin. Her PhD project focuses on the formation of public Hiroshima commemoration, the historical contingency of collective memory and questions of dark tourism. She received an MA in Japanese Studies from the Eberhard-Karls-University Tubingen and began her PhD at the Department of History at Cornell University.
