Stephen Clingman Author

Stephen Clingman is a professor of English and the director of the Interdisciplinary Seminar in the Humanities of Fine Arts at the University of Massachusetts. He is the author of The Grammar of Identity: Transnational Fiction and the Nature of the Boundary and The Novels of Nadine Gordimer: History from the Inside, as well as the editor of Nadine Gordimer’s The Essential Gesture: Writing, Politics, and Places. He lives in Amherst, Massachusetts.
