Somak Biswas is historian of transnational religion and migration focusing on South Asia. He is currently a Past and Present Fellow at the Institute of Historical Research, London. He is broadly interested in global/transnational histories of empire, religion and migration. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Warwick, UK. He has also taught on several History and Sociology modules at Warwick and contributes regularly to blogs and online media.
