Anthony J. Bennett taught U.S. Politics for 35 years, first at the Royal Hospital School, Ipswich, and then at Charterhouse, Godalming, where he was also Deputy Head. He launched the U.S. Politics Annual Survey in 1982 and since then has added a revision guide and a textbook. His textbook, co-authored with Simon Lemieux and David Tuck, US Government and Politics (Pearson Edexcel A Level), is published by Hodder Education in a new and
fully-updated edition in 2025. For many years he was a senior examiner for A Level U.S. Politics, a regular speaker at both teacher and student conferences, and on the editorial board of Politics Review. He currently lives in Lymington in Hampshire.
Simon Lemieux was Head of History and Politics at The Portsmouth Grammar School for 27 years, where he remains a Senior Teacher and still teaches Politics part time. He has written extensively on both UK and US Politics, including co-authoring AQA A-level Politics: Government and Politics of the UK, Government and Politics of the USA and Comparative Politics published by Hodder Education in a new and fully-updated second edition in 2025.
He has also authored several Hodder revision guides covering all three AQA papers, and an account of the main political ideas of Ayn Rand in the 'Who the Hell is..' series. He is also an experienced teacher trainer and speaker at student conferences and is a senior examiner with a major examination board. He currently lives in Portsmouth.
