Sherman Coolidge (1860–1932), a leading Native American advocate of his generation, and his wife, Grace Coolidge (1873–1937), both wrote about Native American life and were married almost thirty years. Tadeusz Lewandowski is a professor extraordinarius at the Institute of Literatures, University of Opole, Poland, and an associate professor of English and American studies at the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic.
