Sal Salandra Author

Sal Salandra was introduced to needlepoint by his mother-in-law in the early 1980s, as a way to pass the time as he recovered from a serious back injury. The second-generation Italian-American hairdresser started off creating traditional motifs — flowers and birds — but over the last decade his relationship to the medium evolved, and it’s become an outlet to explore the depths of his psychosexual desires. Michael Bullock is a Brooklyn-based writer, editor, and political organizer. He’s the author of Roman Catholic Jacuzzi (2012) and the editor of Peter Berlin: Artist, Icon, Photosexual (2019). In 2020 he founded the political crowdfunding platform WeeklySenator.org, of which he is the director. Bullock also holds the position of associate publisher for PIN-UP Magazine and contributing editor for Apartamento. Mark McKnight (b. Los Angeles, CA) is an artist whose work has been exhibited internationally. His work has been written about in the Los Angeles Times, Interview, The New Yorker, Aperture, Art in America, Frieze, ArtForum, Mousse and BOMB Magazine. His work is in the collection of The Henry Art Gallery (Seattle, WA) the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (Los Angeles, CA) and The Getty Museum (Los Angeles, CA). Mark is an Assistant Professor of Expanded Photography at Rutgers University. He lives and works in New York, NY.
