Sachin Salunkhe is an Associate Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. His main research interests are in the area of press tool design, metal additive manufacturing, AI applications in manufacturing, expert systems for die design, sheet metal forming, wear analysis, fatigue analysis and high strain rate. Dr. Salunkhe has more than 55 research papers in reputed journals, conferences and 5 book chapters to his credit. He serves as a reviewer for many reputed journals and is a member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), and International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT). Sergio T. Amancio-Filho is a full professor for aviation materials and manufacturing techniques at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz), Austria. He is the deputy head of the Institute of Materials Science, Joining and Forming and chair of the ‘Austrian Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) Endowed Professorship for Aviation’. The focus of his work has been on the correlation between processing, microstructure and material properties aiming at developing, understanding and optimizing additive manufacturing and joining techniques for lightweight engineering structures. Before joining TU Graz, he was a Helmholtz-Young Investigator group leader at Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht and assistant professor for Joining Technology at the Institute of Polymer Composites of Hamburg University of Technology (TU Hamburg, Germany), and also developed and patented prize-winning new joining techniques for polymer-metal hybrid structures.. He has been awarded 21 patents, co-published over 160 technical publications and co-edited the first technical book on joining technology of metal-polymer structures in 2018. Prof. Amancio-Filho is a recipient of national and international awards, including the Granjon Prize 2009 of the International Institute of Welding, the German High Tech Champions 2013 of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), and the Georg-Sachs Prize 2014 of the “Stifterverband Metalle und dem Fachverband der Nichteisen-Metallindustrie Österreichs and German Society for Materials Science (DGM). Furthermore, he has advised several undergraduation and graduation works and is an active member in different scientific and technical committees in Europe and America. J. Paulo Davim is a Full Professor at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He is also distinguished as an honorary professor in several universities/colleges in China, India and Spain. The Portuguese Institution of Engineers conferred him with the title of Senior Chartered Engineer and has an MBA. He was also awarded a Eur Ing title by FEANI-Brussels and is a Fellow (FIET) of IET-London. He has more than 30 years of teaching and research experience in manufacturing, materials, mechanical and industrial engineering, with special emphasis in machining and tribology. He has worked as an evaluator of projects for the European Research Council (ERC) and other international research agencies as well as an examiner of Ph.D. theses for many universities in different countries. He is the editor-in-chief of several international journals, guest editor of several journals, series editor for Elsevier’s Woodhead Publishing Reviews: Mechanical Engineering book series, and scientific advisor for many international journals and conferences. Presently, he is an editorial board member of 30 international journals and acts as reviewer for more than 100 prestigious journals. In addition, he has also published as editor (and co-editor) more than 150 books and as author (and co-author) more than 15 books, 100 book chapters and 500 articles in journals and conferences. He has published more than 280 articles in prestigious journals.
