Roy Charles Author

Roy Charles has spent much of his career in Information Technology (IT) Services, as well as being a part-time professional singer and music producer. Roy's interest in history started at school when he also used to collect Brooke Bond Tea Cards. The White on Black range of A6 Quality Pocket Books currently covers historical topics in the same manner of about 200 words per subject and a colour portrait. Roy resides in Ash in the Sevenoaks area of Kent with his family, having been blessed with 4 children. As he says - 'I am young enough to remember tea cards! You used to get one with each packet of tea, there were about 50 in a set and they included a portrait and around 200 words of information; enough to inform on a specific topic and, more importantly, it contained easy-to-remember details that would give a strong background to the subject and spur on an appetite for more.' White On Black Publishing specialises in an A6 series of quality pocket books with about 60 items or more within a subject group and full colour portraits / pictures to match. Whilst looking at designs and typesetting styles, we came up with the innovative white text on black background; hence 'White on Black' was born and with its emphasis on quality, is now branded 'Quality Pocket Books'.
