Dr. Ronnie Frazer-Williams is an Associate Professor of Environmental and Analytical Chemistry at the University of Sierra Leone. He holds a BSc in Chemistry (University of Sierra Leone), M. Eng. & M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Technology (IHE, The Netherlands) and PhD in Environmental Technology (Cranfield University, UK). He has authored several articles both in journals and conference proceedings, and serves as a member of editorial teams of peer review journals around the world. Dr. Frazer-Williams has served as African representative to SAICM Ad Hoc Advisory Group of Chemical Experts; UNEP National Expert on Chemical Weapons Convention to the National Authority; External Examiners to universities; national consultant to the Environmental Protection Agency Sierra Leone on the National Implementation Plan under the Stockholm Convention and many others. He is also a member of several international scientific and professional organizations and the Vice President of the West African Society of Toxicology. Dr Mary. B. Ogundiran, is an Associate Professor of Analytical/Environmental Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She obtained her B.Ed. Chemistry/Physics in 1994, M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry in 1997 and Ph.D. Analytical/Environmental Chemistry in 2007 from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She was a CV Raman International Fellowship Visiting Researcher to NML-CSIR Jamshedpur, India, and TWAS-DFG Visiting Scientist to Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany. She did her OPCW Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. Her research pursuits include assessment and remediation of contaminated soil, waste management and Geopolymer. She has overseen various administrative posts in her University and has authored many articles in peer review journals, conference proceedings, chapters in books, and serves as a reviewer for some journals. Currently, she is the Vice president for Biochar Initiative of Nigeria (BIN) and member of Editorial Board of BIN Journal. Emmanuel Iyayi Unuabonah is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Sciences Redeemers University in Nigeria and also the head of the Environmental and Chemical Processes Research Group in the University. His research focuses on the preparation and characterization of functional composite materials from local materials and agrowastes with the aim of treating water. He is currently developing photocatalytic materials from low-cost sources for water disinfection. He has published many articles in international peer-reviewed Journals and has two national patents. He has won several national and international awards, research grants and fellowships and he is the Founding President of the Nigerian Young Academy and an alumnus of the TWAS Young Affiliate program and of the Global Young Academy. He is also an Editorial Board member of HELIYON (Materials Science Section). He is currently the Centre Director of the Redeemer’s University African Centre of Excellence for Water and Environmental Research (ACEWATER).
