Rita Wong Author & Editor

Dorothy Christian is a visual storyteller from the Secwepemc and Syilx Nations of British Columbia. She is a Ph. D. candidate at UBC's Department of Educational Studies and currently writing her dissertation "Gathering Knowledge: Visual Storytellers & Indigenous Storywork." Publications include chapters in Thinking with Water (Chen et al., eds., 2013) and Cultivating Canada: Reconciliation Through the Lens of Cultural Diversity (Mathur et al., eds., 2011). Rita Wong is an award-winning writer of four books of poetry, her latest titled undercurrent (2015). She is co-editor of downstream: reimagining water (WLU Press 2017), nominated for the Alanna Bondar Memorial Book Prize. She teaches at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, on the unceded Coast Salish territories also known as Vancouver, where she learns from water.
