Richard Read is emeritus professor of art history and senior honorary research fellow at the University of Western Australia. He is the author of Art and Its Discontents: the Early Life of Adrian Stokes. Kenneth Haltman is H. Russell Pitman Professor of art history at the University of Oklahoma.
