Resat Petek Author

Resat Petek was born in 1955 in Burdur, Turkey. After graduating from Faculty of Law at Ankara University he held office in 9 different provinces and districts as a candidate judge, deputy public prosecutor, public prosecutor and chief public prosecutor. In the 2015 elections while he was a practicing lawyer, he was elected as the Burdur MP for AK Party. He was the Deputy Chairman of the Constitution Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the Chairman of the AK Party Group Disciplinary Committee and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee when the 15th of July Coup Attempt of the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization FETO took place. Resat Petek has also written a book entitled Ihanet ve Direnis on the same topic and he is currently serving as an MP for the 26th Parliament. He is married and a father of three children.
