Dr. Rangabhashiyam Selvasembian currently working as Assistant Professor in the School of Chemical and Biotechnology, SASTRA Deemed University, India. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree from National Institute of Technology Calicut, India. He has received Post-Doctoral Fellowship from Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems, Germany, received National- Post Doctoral Fellowship from SERB-DST, India, selected as Young Scientist by DST, India for the BRICS Conclave held in Durban, South Africa and received Hiyoshi Young Leaf Award from Hiyoshi Ecological Services, Hiyoshi Corporation, Japan. His major research interests are bioremediation and wastewater treatment. He is Associate Editor in International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, IET Nanobiotechnology, and Academic Editor of Adsorption Science and Technology. He has published over 65 articles in peer reviewed national and international journals and also contributed several book chapters including editing a book from Elsevier. Dr Nur Izyan is an associate research fellow at the Institute of Bioproduct Development (IBD), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and a senior lecturer in Chemical and Energy Engineering, UTM since 2018. She has obtained both of her bachelor’s degree as well as completed her Ph.D. in Bioprocess Engineering from UTM. Her previous experience as a post-doctorate fellow after obtaining her Ph.D. in 2017 has focused on utilization of pineapple waste for sugar production. Her research expertise is focusing on enzyme technology, enzyme immobilization, carbohydrate analysis, biomass pretreatment, bioconversion, process optimization and enzyme kinetics. Currently she is working on pretreatment of biomass for efficient delignification, enzymatic hydrolysis, optimization for high sugar production, and enzyme immobilization for transesterification of waste cooking oil for biodiesel production Dr. Saravanan Ramiah Shanmugam, currently working as DST Inspire Faculty in the School of Chemical and Biotechnology, SASTRA Deemed University, India. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree from University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He has worked as an Associate Scientist in AgraCity Crop & Nutrition Ltd., Wallaceburg, Ontario, Canada. During his tenure he has registered two biofertilizer products towards commercialization and submitted the dossier for three other products to Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). He has received Post-Doctoral Fellowship from Auburn University, Alabama, USA. He has received numerous research grants such as Alabama Agricultural Experimental Station (AAES)- SEED grant, Auburn University Intramural Grants Program and Ocean University of China (OUC)- Auburn University (AU) grants program. Currently, he is receiving DST Inspire Fellowship from DST, India. His major research interests are biofuels production from lignocellulosic biomass, wastewater treatment, nutrient and energy recovery from waste streams and biopolymer production. He has published numerous research articles in peer- reviewed International Journals and also contributed book chapters. Prof Ponnusami is at present working as Associate Dean in the School of Chemical and Biotechnology, SASTRA Deemed University, India. He did the doctoral research on textile effluent treatment at SASTRA Deemed University, India. His post-doctoral research includes wastewater treatment by physico-chemical treatments, lignocellulose degradation, bioprocessing for the production of enzymes and microbial polysaccharides, and biodiesel production. He had published over 50 papers in SCI journals in these areas. Professor Ajay Kumar Mishra, (MSc, MPhil, PhD, CSci, FRSC) is currently Full Professor at the Department of Chemistry, School of Applied Science, KIIT Deemed University, Bhubaneswar, India. He is also Director of the Academy of Nanotechnology and Waste Water Innovations, Johannesburg, South Africa, and holds an adjunct professorship at Jiangsu University, China. His research interests include the synthesis of multifunctional nanomaterials, including polymers, carbon nanomaterials, composite materials, and wastewater research. Prof. Mishra has authored over 150 peer reviewed scientific international journal articles and edited over 31 books in his expert subject areas.
