Dr. Pratik Talukder obtained his PhD in Science from University of Calcutta, India. Currently Dr. Talukder is working as an Associate Professor in the department of Biotechnology, University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata (UEMK). He is a university rank holder in his postgraduate degree. He is the recipient of the prestigious national postdoctoral fellowship of Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. He is from the background of molecular biology, biophysics, bioinformatics and tissue culture. He has published many research and reviewed articles in several journals of international repute. He has published more than 50 research and review articles in several peer reviewed journals of international repute and book chapters. He is the assistant editor of the journal - ‘Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology’. He has also received research project grants from the Govt. of India. He is also a member of the European union FRACTION PROJECT for Pedagogy in Higher education,
Uttam Pal obtained his PhD in Science from Jadavpur University, India. He is a university rank holder in his postgraduate degree from the University of Calcutta and a recipient of INSPIRE Fellowship. Dr. Pal served as a scientist working on translational research at the Technical Research Centre of SN Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, India. His research interests are computational drug discovery and in silico design and characterization of nano biomaterials for medical applications. He has developed binding specificity and drugability indices within the concept of molecular docking. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London and several other scientific societies. He has published many research and review articles and reviewed articles for several journals. Additionally, he currently serves as a guest associate editor for the Frontiers in Chemistry and Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology journals.
Dr. Tandon is a Scientist in National Institute of Health (NIH, USA). He was formerly an associate professor of microbiology and immunology at UMMC. He contributes significantly to research, teaching and service. Dr. Tandon is recognized internationally for his research on herpes viruses. His research is supported by several extramural and intramural grants and he serves on AHA as well as NIH grant review study sections. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA). He directs the Graduate Virology Course at UMMC and team teaches three other Microbiology courses. Dr. Tandon also holds a joint assistant professor position in the Department of Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Mississippi. He has published many research and reviewed articles in several journals of international repute.
