Pooneh Torabian is a Lecturer at Department of Tourism, Otago Business School, University of Otago, New Zealand. She has a PhD in Recreation and Leisure Studies from the University of Waterloo, Canada. Pooneh uses an interdisciplinary lens to study how intersections of identities such as gender, class, and race shape international mobilities. She is interested in the notions of dual citizenship and freedom of movement and their implications for crossing international borders. More recently, she has started research projects where she explores how arts can help the marginalised communities with resettlement, home-making, and integration.
Julia N. Albrecht is an Associate Professor at Department of Tourism, Otago Business School, University of Otago, New Zealand. With her academic background in geography and landscape ecology, political studies, and tourism, Julia is interested in tourism and destination management for sustainable tourism, tourism strategy and planning, visitor management and nature-based tourism. Julia publishes her work in leading academic journals such as Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Tourism Management, and Annals of Tourism Research, among others. She is a co-editor of the Journal of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism, and she serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research.
