Satish Kumar Peddapelli is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He has completed his B.Tech in EEE from JNTU, obtained his M.Tech in Power Electronics from JNTUH and his Doctorate in the area of Multilevel Inverters in the year 2011 from JNTUH. His areas of interests are Power Electronics, Drives, Power Converters, Multi-level Inverters, Special Machines and Renewable Energy Systems. He is the Senior Member IEEE, Life Member ISTE and FIE(I), member SSI. He completed two Major Research Projects as Principal Investigator funded by UGC and SERB, Govt. of India. He is currently implementing Indo-Sri Lanka joint research project funded by DST, Govt. of India. Under his supervision, four research scholars were awarded and 8 are pursuing their PhD degrees. He established "Research Lab for Multilevel Inverters" at EED, UCE, OU. He has over 24 years of teaching and research experience, published more than 98 publications in International Journals and International Conferences. He received "Certificate of Merit" for his research paper which was presented in an International Conference at University of California, USA. He delivered Keynote address in International conferences held at Singapore and Paris. He applied for three patents on Cascaded multilevel inverters, Neutral point Clamped Multilevel inverters and Power Conditioners. He received the "Best Teacher Award" from the state Government of Telangana, the "Award for Research Excellence", the "Global Teacher Role Model Award" and the "Fast Track Scheme for Young Scientist Award". Dr. P. Satish Kumar visited various countries like United States of America, France, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Sri Lanka to present his research papers in various international conferences, to engage in collaborative research and to deliver expert lectures and keynote addresses.

Peter Virtic was born in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, in 1979. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 2009 from the University of Maribor, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. From 2004 to 2009, he was a Researcher with the Development Centre for Electrical Machines. Since 2009, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Energy Technology, University of Maribor, Slovenia. His research interests include permanent magnet machines, axial-flux machines, analytical and numerical modeling, and developing analytical tools for the analysis of electrical machines. His bibliography comprises 238 bibliographic units. He has national patent "The system for smart home control using artificial intelligence". He received "The award for the best student in Secondary school of Electrotechnics and Computing in Velenje", the "Rector's award" for the best student in the generation of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor, the award for "the best graduate student" of study program Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the "Award of the Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetics", award of the "President of the Polish Association of Applied Electromagnetics", the award for "The best poster paper" at the 13th Conference of the IEEE CEFC 2008, the award at the Day of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor, the award at the University of Maribor for extremely important successes and achievements in scientific research and educational field, in the development of professional and personal contribution to the reputation of the Faculty of Energy Technology, University of Maribor, the award for top rated teacher (the best grades in the student survey) at the Faculty of Energy Technology, University of Maribor in the academic year 2013/2014 and 2014/2015, the award for top rated teacher at the Faculty of Energy Technology, University of Maribor, the ranking on top publications list (Metina lista) for published paper in Applied energy entitled. He is a member of IEEE, member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Energy Technology.
