Leszek Gardeła is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Museum of Denmark. He specialises in the study of the material expressions of Viking Age magic, funerary practices, and interactions between Viking Age Scandinavians and Slavs. He is the author of numerous academic articles and five monographs, including Women and Weapons in the Viking World: Amazons of the North (2021). Sophie Bønding is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Museum of Denmark. She holds a PhD in the Study of Religion and specialises in religious beliefs and behaviours among Viking Age Scandinavians, studied through written and material sources. Peter Pentz is MA in Medieval Archaeology from Aarhus University and Fil. dr. from Gothenburg University. Currently, he is Curator at the National Museum of Denmark. His areas of expertise are the Viking Age, Viking mindset and religion, heritage legislation, and cultural ownership. Peter Pentz is the author of a wide range of academic and popular articles and books.
