Richard Wilkins, Ph.D., is Associate Professor at Baruch College, CUNY, where he specializes in the study of language and social interaction and the ethnography of communication. His work includes articles published in Journal of Communication, Atlantic Journal of Communication, Communication Reports, and International Journal of Intercultural Relations. Pekka Isotalus, Ph.D., is Professor in the Department of Speech Communication and Voice Research, University of Tampere, Finland, and leader of the national Doctoral School of Communication Studies. He is specialized in the study of political communication and mediated interpersonal communication. He has edited several books and has published articles in the Quarterly Journal of Communication, Communications: The European Journal of Communication Research, and Nordicom Review.
