Paula Devine Editor

Katrina Lloyd is a lecturer at the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work (SSESW), Queens University Belfast and a member of the Centre for Evidence and Social Innovation (CESI). Dr Paula Devine is Deputy Director of ARK. In particular, Paula coordinates the ARK Ageing Programme, which supports knowledge engagement between the age, academic and policy sectors in Northern Ireland. Along with Gemma Carney, she set up the Northern Ireland branch of the British Society of Gerontology. Anne Gray is a Senior Research Fellow in the Families and Social Capital Research Group at London's South Bank University. In 2002 she completed a three year research project on benefits and welfare to work schemes in the European Union. A researcher in the field of labour market policy since the late 1980s, her writing has included a number of academic papers and popular pamphlets on labour issues, developing critical responses to workfare and casualisation. Deirdre Heenan was formerly Provost and Dean of Academic Development at the Magee Campus. A distinguished researcher, author and broadcaster, she is a member of the Institute for Research in Social Sciences and has published widely on healthcare, education policy, social care and devolution. She is a co-founder and former co-director of the Northern Ireland Life and Times Survey.
