Patricia D'Antonio is the Killebrew-Censits Endowed Term Professor of Nursing, the director of the Barbara Bates Center for the Study of the History of Nursing, and the chair of the department of Family and Community Health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia, USA. She is core faculty of the Alice Paul Center and a senior fellow of the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also the editor of the Nursing History Review and the author of American Nursing: A History of Knowledge, Authority, and the Meaning of Work, which won the 2011 Lavinia Dock Award.
