Dr. Pankaj Pathak is an Assistant Professor at SRM University Amaravati, India, with a keen interest in sustainable and green energy resources, waste management, and geochemistry, including sustainable handling of nuclear waste and associated environmental impacts. She was involved in several research projects at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Bombay) related to nuclear waste management and characterization of buffer materials for nuclear waste repositories. Also, she has gained research experience in hazardous waste and liquid waste treatment technology, along with hydrometallurgical recovery of metals from waste streams, their safe disposal, and remediation techniques at CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (Jamshedpur).
Dr. Prangya Ranjan Rout is a Researcher at INHA University, Incheon, Republic of Korea. He holds an MTech degree in biotechnology and a PhD in environmental engineering. His research interest lies in the domain of anaerobic digestion, bioconversion of wastes to value-added products, emerging contaminant removal, membrane technology, recovery and reuse of energy and resources, and physicochemical as well as biological treatment of water and wastewater. He has authored over 50 publications, including refereed journal articles, book chapters, national and international conference presentations, technical notes, and a patent. Some of the awards he has received include Odisha Young Scientist Award 2017, Best Practice Oriented Paper 2019 by ASCE-EWRI, and Outstanding Reviewer 2020 by ASCE. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste and has served as a guest editor of a special issue of the journal.
