Pam Flowers is the fourteenth recipient of the Gold Medal from the Society of Woman Geographers, following in the footsteps of Amelia Earhart, Margaret Mead, and Jane Goodall. She lives in Homer, Alaska, where she works as the director of the Homer Public Library.
