Nora I Maidana Editor

Nora I. Maidana, Ph.D., works at the Universidad de Buenos Aires as a consultant adjunct professor and at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Clientificas y Tecnicas as a principal researcher. Her research focuses on the taxonomy and diversity of freshwater and brackish water diatoms and their use as bioindicators in paleolimnology and forensic sciences.

 

Magdalena Licursi, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the Instituto Nacional de Limnologia (CONICET-UNL). She is an expert on freshwater diatom ecology. Her research focuses on the ecology and diversity of freshwater diatoms and their use of bioindicators in the assessment of water quality. She has collaborated and published with colleagues from Belgium, France, Spain, and Columbia on international projects.

 

Eduardo Morales, Ph.D., was a visiting researcher at the University of Evora in Evora, Portugal. He was an expert on diatom taxonomy and ecology. He also worked as a research and adjunct professor at several Brazilian and Argentina institutions and as a curator of the Cryptogams Herbarium, Bolivian Catholic University, Cochabamba, Bolivia. His research focused on the taxonomy and diversity of araphid diatoms in freshwater, brackish, and marine environments.
