Dr Naveen Kumar is associated with more than 12 extramural funded projects and 10 institute projects. He has been instrumental for procuring 150 lakhs from Department of Biotechnology for development of facilities for Biomaterials and Bioengineering research at IVRI. He has published more than 300 research/clinical papers on Biomaterials, Bioengineering and Veterinary Sciences especially in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology in National and International Journals of repute. He guided 14 PhD and 16 MVSc students and co-advisor of more than 60 students. He has published more than 30 books and manuals and has contributed more than 40 chapters in compendiums and books and contributed 8 chapters to books published by International publishers. He received several awards which included Fellow award from National Academy of Veterinary Sciences, Fellow award from Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs-India, Gangman Sharma Award, Smt. Ramani Ramchandran Award and Best paper presentation award in various conferences. He has been invited speaker in various international conferences held at Kathmandu (Nepal), Chengdu (China), Hong Kong and Singapore. He is invited speaker in more than 30 conferences and presented lead papers on biomaterials and tissue engineering. He is Editorial Board member of three International Journals and Expert member for recruitment of faculty members and career advancement in various university of India. He was an Expert member in DBT task force for evaluation of new project proposal submitted to department of Biotechnolgy, Government of India. He is a life member of several professional societies, including the Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery, Indian Society for Veterinary Medicine, Indian Science Congress Association, Indian Carbon Society, Association of Indian Zoo and Wildlife, Indian Society for Advancement of Canine Practice, Society for Biomaterials & Artificial Organs-India and Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (India). Dr. Sonal Saxena received a PhD degree in Animal biotechnology from ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, India, in 2008. Thereafter she joined Indian Council of Agricultural Research as Scientist in June 2008 and completed four months FOCARS training at National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad. After successful completion of training program, she joined ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar and currently she is working as Senior Scientist with the Division of Veterinary Biotechnology, ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar. Dr. Saxena has more than 13 years of teaching and research experience in the area of Animal Biotechnology. Her current area of research includes Oncology, Artificial Intelligence, New generation diagnostics, and vaccines, Biomaterials for reconstructive surgery, Nanoparticle based thermostabilization of veterinary vaccines etc. She has published more than 55 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, has filed 2 patents, authored three books/training manuals and six book chapters. Dr. Vineet Kumar is Associate Professor, Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, Bihar Animal Science University. After receiving his Veterinary Degree from Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, he completed his Master of Veterinary Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology at Indian Veterinary Research Institute. He was Assistant Professor at Junagadh Agricultural University and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, before joining at Bihar Animal Science University. Dr Kumar has authored/coauthored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and many textbook chapters. He’s served as an ad-hoc reviewer for many journals including Biomedical Engineering Advances, Cell and Tissue Banking, International Wound Journal, Journal of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, and Journal of Advanced Veterinary Research. He’s an active member of Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (India), and European Society for Biomaterials. His main areas of research include biomaterials, tissue engineering and reconstructive surgery. Dr Anil Kumar Gangwar received his MVSc and PhD in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology from Indian Veterinary Research Institute. He’s published 93 research articles in peer reviewed international and national journals. Dr. Gangwar has written six books and seven book chapters in international and national books edited by renowned researchers and has presented 90 scientific papers and eight lead/invited lectures in international and national conferences and symposium. Dr. Gangwar received various awards and achievements for his work and is the reviewer of various international journals published by Wiley, Elsevier, and Springer Nature. Presently, he’s working as Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology in the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, in India. He is working on development of biomaterials and the use of herbal detergents for decellularization of animal tissues. Dr. Dayamon D. Mathew is Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. He received his postgraduation and doctoral degrees in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology from Karnataka Veterinary Animal and Fisheries Sciences University and Indian Veterinary Research Institute, respectively. His areas of research are tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, biomaterials, and veterinary surgery and radiology and has contributed to more than 10 chapters for textbooks and was an editor for “Emerging concepts in Animal Science. He has more than 50 articles in his name, presented more than 60 abstracts in different symposia/ conferences, and received many presentation awards. He has received Best Teacher Award in 2022 from the Indian Veterinary Association and Eminent Veterinarian award from the SAARC regional Veterinary Association in 2023. His current research is focused on the development of bio-scaffolds for regenerative surgery. Dr Sameer Shrivastava received his PhD degree in Animal Biotechnology from ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, India, in 2006. He is currently working as Principal Scientist at Division of Veterinary Biotechnology, ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar, India. He has over 20 years of teaching and research experience in Animal Biotechnology. His current area of research includes synthetic peptide biology, cancer biology, immunobiology, AMR, biomaterials, and biosensors. He has published more than 80 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and authored four books and training manuals. He has handled more than 20 research projects as Principal Investigator or Co-investigator. He has to his credit two granted patents, and three others have been filed. He is member of the prestigious American Peptide Society, Indian Peptide Society and other professional bodies and is recipient of the prestigious ICAR Lal Bahadur Shastri Young Scientist Award, Alfred Lingard Award, and Pfizer’s Veterinary Award. Dr. Naresh Kumar Singh received his doctoral degree in 2005 from Indian Veterinary Research Institute. A postdoctoral fellow at National Livestock Research Institute, Suwon, Korea, his research focused on stem cells trans differentiation and proteomics. Dr. Singh received Best Researcher Award from National Livestock Research Institute, South Korea, and Excellent research award from Asian- Australasian Animal Science Congress, Busan, South Korea. Dr. Singh has spent over 20 years teaching after his post-doctoral fellow tenure and spent 5 years as Assistant Professor in the Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea. Dr. Singh has published over 80 research papers in international and national journals and has written two books on animal sciences, as well as 20 book chapters. Dr. Singh is Professor & Head of Department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology at Banaras Hindu University. Presently he’s focused on the development of Electrospun Bandages, Fortified Bioglass, bio-degradable implants.
