MJ Mobley Author

M.J. Mobley is a poet, playwright, and novelist from Knoxville, Tennessee. A former U.S. Army Infantryman, Reconnaissance Scout, Drill Sergeant and Ranger qualified Paratrooper with multiple combat deployments around the globe, Mobley served as both an enlisted man and an officer ultimately leaving the military industrial complex at the rank of Major. His work has appeared in O Dark Thirty, Bridge Eight, Tahoma Literary Review, and F(r)iction, among others and his one-act play The Recruiters recently underwent a staged reading in Salem, Massachusetts. Mobley is now an eco-anarcho-pacifist whose spiritual practices include Christian mysticism and contemplation. He spends as much time as he can escaping the modern world in the Great Smoky Mountains near his home.
