Mark Maloy Author

Mark Maloy is a historian currently working for the National Park Service in Virginia. He holds an undergraduate degree in History from the College of William and Mary and a graduate degree in History from George Mason University. He has worked at numerous public historic sites and archaeological digs for the past fifteen years. He is a Revolutionary War reenactor and resides in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife, Lauren, and sons, Samuel and Thomas. Dan Welch is an educator with a public school district in Ohio and seasonal Park Ranger at Gettysburg National Military Park. He received his BA in Instrumental Music Education from Youngstown State University and a MA in Military History with a Civil War Era concentration at American Military University. He is the co-author of The Last Road North: A Guide to the Gettysburg Campaign, 1863, and Ohio at Antietam: The Buckeye State’s Sacrifice on America’s Bloodiest Day. A contributing member at Emerging Civil War for more than seven years he is the co-editor of the first three volumes of ECW’s 10th Anniversary Series. He now serves as associate editor of the renowned Gettysburg Magazine. He resides with his wife, Sarah, in Boardman, Ohio.
