Marianne Brown is a journalist who covers the urgency of the environmental emergency every working day. She was raised in Edinburgh but has deep and twisted roots in Shetland soil. Since 2017, she has been editor of Resurgence & Ecologist, believed to be the longest running environmental magazine in the UK, and described as ‘the artistic and spiritual flagship of the green movement’ by the Guardian. Prior to that she was Vietnam Bureau Chief for Deutsche Presse-Agentur and a freelance radio and print journalist for the BBC, the Guardian, Voice of America and Deutsche Welle. She lives in Devon with her husband and young daughter.
