The Author: Maria Kurdi is associate professor in the Department of English Literatures and Cultures at the University of Pecs, Hungary. Her main fields of teaching and research are modern Irish literature and English-speaking drama. Her publications include a book in Hungarian surveying contemporary Irish drama, and numerous articles about twentieth-century Irish, American and British authors. She taught and gave lectures at universities in Germany, Ireland and the USA. She is member of IASIL, and a Hungarian consultant of the Zuerich James Joyce Foundation.
