C. Cryss Brunner is an associate professor in the Department of Educational Policy and Administration at the University of Minnesota and codirector of the UCEA Joint Program Center for the Study of the Superintendency. Her research is focused on women, power, the superintendency, virtual learning environments, and constructions of identity. Margaret Grogan is professor and chair of educational leadership and policy analysis at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has researched and taught about the superintendency and women in the superintendency for more than 12 years and has numerous publications on the topic.
